THE ACCOMMODATION
For château rentals:
The Château de Pont Bourguet is a large, light filled
mansion with accommodation for up to 10 people.
Built in 1850, the château has recently been fully restored,
retaining all its original features, but with a touch of modernity.
It is decorated in a pared down mix of French ‘brocante’
and contemporary comfort.
On the ground floor there is a huge (80 square metre) living
room with large, comfortable sofas and an open fireplace. There
is a smaller TV/living room for curling up in front of a good
film. There is also a large office with high speed internet
access.
The spacious kitchen/dining room is a mixture of high tech stainless
steel and intricate mouldings. There is a double oven, range
cooker and, off the kitchen, a smaller back kitchen for storage
and preparation.
On the first floor there is a suite, a large bedroom with its
own private living room. There are four further double bedrooms.
Four bedrooms have their own bathroom with both bath and shower
facilities; one has a shower/wet room. On the second floor there
is a large laundry/ironing room.
The château is set in approximately 12 acres of land and
woods and has a 15 metre swimming pool.
Arrangements can be made for cooking, cleaning and ironing at
reasonable rates. |
