THE CHÂTEAU
Hidden away on its grounds next to a meandering river, the château
de Pont Bourguet is a haven of peace and tranquillity. Here
you can sit under a tree in front of the house and listen to
birdsong; you can follow the stream that trickles past the house
up to its source in the woods; you can splash – or even
fish – in the river or, if feeling a little more energetic,
do a few laps in the pool.
Built in the 1850’s the château is composed of large,
light filled rooms. It has recently been fully restored retaining
all its original features whilst adding the comforts demanded
in a modern home. It is decorated in a pared down mix of French
antiques and comfortable contemporary chic. |
